Martin “The Falsetto” Milnes will next be performing for The Noel Coward Society in London and The International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton.

On Monday 3rd May he will be appearing at the Canal Cafe Theatre, Little Venice, as part of a special presentation for The Noel Coward Society. Martin will sing “What Is Love?” and “Zigeuner” from Bitter Sweet in his falsetto range, and “Nina” from Sigh No More in his tenor voice. The evening is dedicated to introducing younger audiences to the works of the man known as “The Master”.

Martin’s first full length “specialist” Falsetto production – The Falsetto Sings Gilbert and Sullivan – will be part of the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton. The show takes place in the Octagon at 2.30pm on Monday 9th August. Martin will sing soprano arias from G&S shows in falsetto, as well as tenor and patter songs showcasing his “regular” range.

The G&S Festival will also be celebrating the launch of a new TV series entitled Gilbert and Sullivan : A Motley Pair prior to its broadcast on Sky Arts later this year. Written and presented by Simon Butteriss, and directed by Tony Britten for Capriol Films, the series examines the history of G&S and the enduring strength that carries it into the 21st Century. Martin is featured singing a falsetto excerpt of “Poor Wand’ring One from The Pirates of Penzance and also appears in numerous other scenes throughout the series.
